Based in Derbyshire, our passion is to design and create gardens to the highest standard and help people to reconnect with their outdoor space. We pride ourselves on attention to detail and through our careful planning, design and support, your garden can flourish and look great all year round in its natural surroundings.
Sense of place is important to us which means we source the right plant or landscaping material for the right location, environment and aspect. Our style is contemporary and naturalistic but we can cater for your preferred tastes. We can also tailor a design package to meet your exact needs, whether that's a full garden transformation or perhaps bringing life to your planting borders with detailed planting plans.

Gary came to survey our small, untidy garden and produced a plan with beautiful porcelain tiles and herringbone block work. We thought it was fantastic but would the finished product do the design plans justice.
Gary arranged for a brilliant team of landscapers to put his plans in place.
The finished product was unbelievable and actually better than the plans suggested.
Following Gary planting out the borders with a prairie design including ornamental trees, we now have a fantastic garden which we can't keep out of. It has made such a difference to our way of life.
From consultation, design, building, planting and electrical work, Gary has arranged it all for us.

Gary said it was not a problem where we live he could do a virtual garden design with mood boards and a virtual walk through. He said it would take 6 weeks and he delivered as said. I highly recommend the service available from Milburn Garden Design.
Our house renovation project has been at a bit of a stand still due to lockdown so we decided to look at the vision for the driveway and garden. We wanted Gary to be creative (within reason!) with a few ‘must-haves’ from us. Gary uses a shared Pinterest board to familiarise himself with your preferences and in turn creates a mood board which is then reflected in the overall CAD garden design.
Gary’s fee for the design was very reasonable, we received a bespoke USB with the digital files and A2 prints of the design. We will most certainly use other aspects of his services once we get started.
